While getting to JB from the Woodlands Causeway, you'll be able to see the glorious and humongous R&F Mall. But how do we get there? Yes, although Grab is definitely a fuss-free and affordable way to get there, perhaps some of you may just want to venture there by foot.
You'll be glad to know that there is actually a link-bridge from CIQ all the way to the mall. You can find the link-bridge on the side where you have to walk to the JB immigration area. It is one door away from the immigration bridge. It does take a while though, you'll have to walk for a total of 8-minutes! So do wear your best walking shoes and walk away!
The walkway could also be slightly dark, so do be on alert to ensure everyone in your party is safe and walking together!
Since the mall is designed by the same team that designed ION orchard in Singapore, you‘ll find wide spaces with outdoor and indoor regions.
Even though the mall has already announced its soft opening, there aren’t that many stores opened yet. When we visited, many of the stores were still barricaded and under construction. There were a few food and beverages store opened and we decided to spend our afternoon at San Fransisco Coffee - amazing decision!
I may have found a super chocolatey iced mocha that I love, so much so that I was craving for it and went back in to Malaysia a second time the next week just to have it!
The decor was also quite fun and cosy, I absolutely loved the cinema seating area which really reminded me of the Paris Baguette I visited when in Jeju, South Korea!
The other mega store that was opened was Mr DIY on the third floor. There were just so many things that I wanted to buy there. There were toys and household items and lots of cleaning stuff! I ended purchasing a couple of Scotchbrite mopheads and sponges for cleaning. #alreadybecominganauntie?
