We love steak and definitely would not pass up on a steak for only 10 pounds! We successfully dined at Flat Iron Steak on our 2nd attempt! Since they did not accept reservations, the first time we visited London we had to wait for two hours before our turn and decided against waiting for we were feeling too hungry. Thankfully, two years on, we made the smarter choice of heading there before the busy lunch time and managed to get seats instantly!

Our advice? Head to Flat Iron Steak during the non-peak periods to score seats!

The menu, it is simple. If budget feasting is your thing, go for the 10 pound flat iron steak! It will be served on a chopping board, with their signature flat iron, along with fries and salad. While waiting, you can also feast on some popcorn! The portion will definitely be enough for one!

The restaurant also had a fun vibe, with music and lots of laughter! We also had a delightful surprise at the end of the meal as they gave us a token to redeem a free chocolate ice cream! Yay!

We went to the one at Convent Garden but there are other branches:

17 Beak St, Soho, W1F 9RW

9 Denmark St, Soho, WC2H 8LS

17/18 Henrietta St, Covent Garden, WC2E 8QH

77 Curtain Road, Shoreditch, EC2A 3BS

46 Golborne Road, London, W10 5PR

For your fill of good and affordable steak in London, head to Flat Iron Steak or check out some other London food options we've handpicked.

Where to stay in London, United Kingdom?

Looking for the perfect mid-tier hotels to stay at during your trip to London, United Kingdom? After having stayed at multiple hotels throughout our visits to London, we have compiled a list of our favourite accommodations:

First on our list is the Paramount Hotel, which is situated in a quiet neighbourhood near Earl's Court metro station. This guest-house-like property boasts spacious and tidy rooms, making for a comfortable stay. The Earl's Court region is ideal for travellers on a budget, as it features a variety of reasonably priced hotels while still providing access to the station within Zone 1. Additionally, a 24-hour Sainsbury Local is conveniently located just a 4-minute walk from the hotel.

On another occasion, we tried the Ibis Styles London Kensington Hotel, part of the AccorHotels chain. Like the Paramount Hotel, this hotel is also just a 2-minute walk from Earl's Court Station and a 4-minute walk from Sainsbury's Local. However, the rooms are slightly smaller and may lack the homely feel of the Paramount Hotel. Nevertheless, the modern rooms and high-quality service expected from an international chain make it a great option for travellers.
