Parque Warner Madrid is an amusement park initially opened under the management of the popular American Six Flags chain, with Time Warner holding a 5% stake. In 2004, Six Flags' management arrangement was terminated and the park is now run by Time Warner along with several Spanish investment groups.

Why didn't we read anything about Parque Warner before we head to Madrid? It is an unassuming theme park that is filled with attractions for the young and the old. Located in San Martín de la Vega, about 34 km from Madrid city centre, it would be a great day out for families or for anyone looking for an adventure!

If you have one day left before your flight or train out of Madrid, consider visiting this Parque Warner theme park! We also have a post on 10 reasons why you should go to Parque Warner Madrid!

Walking into Parque Warner Madrid, San Martin de la Vega, Madrid, Spain

Parque Warner Madrid is located in San Martín de la Vega, about 34 km from Madrid city centre. It is great for families or for anyone looking for an adventure!

1. By Car (approximately 40 minutes drive)

From Sol, take the A-4 highway, exit 22 at Pinto and follow the signs to Parque Warner Madrid.

2. By Renfe and Bus 412 from Villaverde Bajo (approximately 1 hour)

Take C4 (blue) or C3 (purple) two stops from Sol to Villaverde Bajo. There, walk to the bus interchange and take bus 412 from La Veloz to Parque Warner Madrid.

Do note, however, that the timing may not be accurate but there will be a bus that takes you to the park in "peak" travelling hours (in the morning to get there, and in the evening to get back to Villaverde Bajo). If you would like to head to the park in the afternoon, it will be better to take a taxi from Pinto.

3. By Renfe and Bus 413 from Pinto (approximately 1 hour)

Take C3 (purple) seven stops from Sol to Pinto. There, walk to the bus interchange and take bus 413 from La Veloz to Parque Warner Madrid.

Again, even on Parque Warner's website it kindly states that timings are subject to changes on behalf of the bus company. If the bus doesn't come, take a taxi to the park!

4. By Bus Mendez Alvaro

For 28.45 euros, you can get transport + tickets to Parque Warner. Should you only want transport, it costs 8 euros.

Although we didn't try this option as we wanted the flexibility to leave the park in the afternoon. Bad choice, because we were stranded waiting for bus 412/413 for 2 hours. We took a taxi out of the Parque in the end... :(

What else can I do if I am not an adrenaline junkie?

No crowds at Parque Warner Madrid, Spain

At only 25.90 euros per person, Parque Warner Madrid is indeed a great day out for adrenaline junkies. What we really appreciated was the crowd - there was none. As compared to your crowded Sol square in Madrid. Parque Warner is a great hideout.

Bring your shades, apply your sunblocks (yes, in winter) and head straight for the park!

Christmas Sylvester at Parque Warner Madrid, Spain

Even if you do not enjoy riding the rollercoasters, the park will still be a great place for you to take a stroll, and take photographs with the Sylvester the cat, and the other Warner Bros characters. Even for Disney Fans like us, we really enjoyed taking selfies with the characters (minus all the queues).

Enjoy your day(s) at Parque Warner Madrid!
