How to get from Jeju Airport to Jeju City / Seogwipo?

Upon landing in Seoul, we took the closest flight out to Jeju. We decided to do so to save time on travelling to and fro the airport. We arrived in Jeju at night and headed straight for the hotel by taxi. We didn't get our car as we wanted to save on parking as it will just be parked in our hotel overnight.

How to get from Jeju Airport to Jeju City Centre/Seogwipo?

Taxis

If you're going to Jeju City Centre, the fastest way to get straight to your hotel is to take a cab. Upon arriving, head straight to the taxi line (located across the road from gate 3). Although it is a long line, there are many taxis and it will be your turn really soon. It takes only about 10 minutes to get to the city centre, and by taxi, it is about 8,000 - 10,000 won according to your destination. If you have a lot of luggage, a taxi is advisable!

Taxi will be more expensive if you're heading to Seogwipo. Do note also that the queue for the taxis to Seogwipo is one more street away from the taxi queue to Jeju City.

Public Buses

There are various city buses that goes to various sites in Jeju City Centre. Buses would be slightly more affordable than the taxi. You can take the public bus outside gate 2 and there will be a staff there that can help advise you which bus you should take to get to your destination.

Airport Limousine Bus 600 (to Seogwipo): The airport limousine bus 600 will be more affordable. It costs about 1,300 to 5,000 won per person depending on your destination.

Car Rental

For the rental of cars, head to the car rental counter. The car rental companies are not located at the airport itself so you would have to take a free shuttle to get to your keys. A gentle reminder that you will need a valid international driving permit to rent a car!
